australian celica ZX and SX emblem

GT = ZX ( if i'm not wrong )

ZX and the SX are actually the same spec, being the 2ZZ-GE. Only difference is that the ZX comes with optional extras like Sportivo kit and ABS etc.

Strange thing is, people i've spoken to around here have always wanted to get there hands on GT/GTS badges from the states. :)

yeah i've heard of people overseas wanting GT-S badges...even in Japan because SS-II isn't particularly nice sounding...and the letters "GT-S" are more famous, and used on a lot of sports cars (i.e, Viper, Skyline, etc.)
