Well I was driving my Automatic 2000 Celica GT-S the today and the check engine light came on.. The engine does not sound right at all its making a weird noise when I rev it or while I'm driving it. I have a video below that shows the noise its making.. I am also not recieving the lift that I was recieving before this happened and the automatic transmission isnt shifting right in auto mode anymore. Any clue what the problem is I check the lift bolts and they are fine..
The video might not be done processing from uploading yet.. Youtube is sometimes very very slow!

video still isnt up but ill see if i can tell the sound from it....but it sounds like your celica went into a "safe mode" which happens when something is wrong it won't let you go into lift
Go to autozone.
Tell them you want to borrow their OBDII (2) scanner.
They'll ask you for your driver's license.
Give it to them and they'll give you the scanner.
Go to the parking lot, open you driverside door. Look towards the bottom of the dash, close to the footwell. There, you will see a black port, labelled none other than "OBDII".
Open it up and plug in the scanner.
Turn on the scanner. Now that's by pressing the "on" button not by putting your best moves on it.
Let it scan your car. Once it's done, it'll display codes, WRITE THEM DOWN.
Return the scanner and retrieve your driver's license.
Now you've got two choices:
-Ask the mechanic there for what they mean.
-Search for the answers on google, yes google. Type in the code and you will be bombarded with answers.
Enjoy.

So i actually took it back to get looked at since my warranty isnt fully up yet and they had to order me a part. Something that has to do with the oil and when my car is going over 60 MPH. ? They said something about an oil light or something.

Well heres my story.. I took it to the dealer and they had to order a new oil pump beacuse it had a minor leak in it they said.. But in the mean time they said that my celica was safe to drive.. Its still under warranty and everything but today my engine starting knocking hard and theres this loud screech..

it pretty much sounds exactly like that video.. so im guessing I spun a bearing.. So it should be the dealers fault that this happened beacuse they told me it was safe to drive. Is this problem fixable or will they have to give me a new engine?

Im just hoping that they will replace it.. I mean they told me it was okay to drive and this happened.. So all the damages should be on them beacuse they are the ones who made this happen...

Why they would tell you it's safe to drive with an oilpump problem is beyond me. I listened to your vid and it's a rod knock you have there.

The first video the engine sounded okay but now that knock is 1000x louder and theres a loud screeching noise... I would take another video but my car is down in maryland sitting there until i can trailer it back up to the dealer..

Don't try starting it anymore. Could be a rodcap coming off.
