Yo,
before you ask if this is another mis shift question or post its not. I have a 01 GT and the last time i went to get my oil changed at toyota the guy some some reason put 1 quart of oil in it. Needless to say the car didn't last and it lasted for about 2.5 months believe it or not. The oil light NEVER came on however my check engine light did. I also hav a AEM intake which causes it to come on so i didn't think much of it tho. About 1 week ago m car started to make a grinding sound whenever the clutch was engeged so i checked the oil and stupid me didn't realise at the time i was on a Incline. So the oil appeared to be fine when i checked it but the next day...BANG...i was pulling into the parking lot at work and all you could hear was...bang..bang..bang..bang....almost brought me to tears when my pride and joy had such a problem but i didn't know what it was. I took it to Al hendricks toyota and they poped the hood...pointed at the intake...checked the oil and told me to take it back to whoever did it. I got it to Maroone Toyota the next day and they had to order a new engine. All because of some moron technician......I was surprised that they didn't give me a hard time about the mods to the car...intake and stuff like that.....
I was expecting to have a war to get it fixed and i had my list of corporate contacts and phone numbers all ready to dial but they took it in...said to give em upto 2 weeks and gave me a free rental ( 03 carolla) until its fixed. I must admit this is the best servicee i have ever received from toyota and wanted to share it with you guys.... Its actually good i'm gettin a new engine as i had put 30k miles on my old 1 in just over a year...hehe..a fresh new start.
Also i was wondering if anyone in the south florida area had their stock silver front bumper. Right before this happened i accidently hit 1 of those kittle poles that stick up like 2 feet in the air at some parking lots. It scratched the HELL outta my bumper...so muchthat i dont even wanna drive it when it looks liek that. Im in the process of saving for my kit but thats about 2 months away still so if anyone has 1 please let me know and i'm sure we can work something out... thanks guys
