Hey guys, my passenger door window suddenly died on me a few weeks ago and Im long long out of warranty due to high mileage driving, so what should I look into to figure out if I can fix this myself. I dont want to take it to the dealer and have them charge me a million $$ an hour plus parts. So far I checked the 20A fuse on the pass side fuse box and that is fine, even used a fuse tester to make sure. What else can I check or do? Im moderately mechanically inclined.

The window doesnt make any noise or do anything at all moving the control up or down.

This might be a stupid quesiton, but are you sure that you don't just have the window lockout engaged? Its that black button on the lower drivers side dash left of the steering wheel. Try pushing that button, then try your window to see if the lockout wasn't accidentally engaged...

****! That was it. I totally forgot about that button.

(FYI, other people drive my Celica once or twice a week or so, so its not like I was the one who turned it on or anything.)

I hate when you pull crap all apart and find out it's something that stupid, Don't worry it happens to all of us, just like we have all unplugged our computers and then flipped when it wouldn't turn on.
