DCM7thGEN November meet results and December meet info.

Hi everyone. I'm back with info from the last meet and info about the next meet. First of all, the turnout for the meet this weekend was small and was kind of disappointing, but it's getting cold and it was raining so I figure that was the reason there were fewer people. That being said, we did have about 10-11 cars and a large group of people show which was nice. Dave and Busters was an enjoyable experience also.

We finally got to distribute some of the stickers and handed out the first issue of the DCM7thGEN newsletter. For those that werent there I will be sending them out today in the mail.

Anyway, we are aiming the December meet to be on the 15th at Dulles Town Center. I know the 15th is close to Christmas and all but hey you cna get some christmas shopping done and besides, the 8th is really too close to the last meet. Anyway post what you think. I will try to have all this set by next monday.

Hey sorry I didn't show. Between feeling like crap, the rain, and not knowing actually how far the mall was from me, I decided to skip it. I'm all over the Dulles Town Center meet though. You can't keep me from that one! :D

I think the MD meets are a little far from me unfortunately so I'll probably just attend the closer ones from now on.

Glad to hear it was a success, be it a small success. At least some people got their stickers etc. I was hoping it wouldn't be a bust.

Any pictures? Or was the weather too bad?

You know, I drove all the way from Hunt Valley. A good hour away for the meet. Took me longer then that with the weather. It wouldn't kill you to drive a bit further, and would be fair to those that do the same.

I know it wouldn't kill me, and I may go from time to time, but you're talking a 2 hour drive each way for me. (I live out west, it's over an hour from Dulles Town Center for me.)

the total amount that showed up ( this is not to say all at one time) was 16 bro. this i think is great for the time/ weather. Also 2 new faces which mean the next strong meet will be more like 25-30 cars total. You have to look at the big picture and deduct the good from the not so good to see the true facts. :reading

Sweet dude this meet is already looking good. We will probably aim for like 1 pm.

Does anyone have any specific suggestions for what to do. I need to go Christmas shopping then so, I know I will do at least that. But we can hang and stuff and hopefully I will finally have all my JDM parts in by then.

I will try my best to make it. I go out of town on the 19th, my car goes into the shop for bodywork on the 17th, so I will be needing that weekend to get lots of cr@p done. No promises but I will try my best.

Actually I did just call them and the main security guy said no problem and that he remembers when we were there before and he appreciates us calling ahead. I just need to talk to the mall manager tommorrow now, but the security guy I spoke to was really supportive. And he even knew it was us because he knew that we meet over by the Sears entrance.

Looks like sunday is a better day then so we will say 16th of Dec.

Hey marc, nice to see you on here. 1 is as good a time as any noone has said that they prefer any particular time. I will post the definite time and date on Monday, but it will almost definitely be Sunday the 16th at 1pm.

Man you guys are so funny. This is a dictatorship, dont worry. I always put up a suggestion post up till two weeks before the meet. Then on the monday two weeks prior to the meet (thats this coming monday) I post the official sign-up, then I will have Eric or Jim lock this post and make the new sign-up a sticky. Thats why I always take suggestions first, the set them in stone so that noone will get confused. My goal is to try to accomadate as many as possible until two weeks before the meet. Dont worry guys and gals I got a formula for this stuff. I will also add all the people that have already said they are going to the new post on Monday. Great to see the turn out will he higher this time around.

OK, if the meet is on Sunday, I am officially out. My old college roommate that married a guy in London and moved there will be in town, and Sunday is the only day we can get together. If it is Saturday, I'm in.

See thats the kind of input I need. I will make a totally utilitarian decision and see how many people can make saturday or sunday and work with that. I will show a little bias to those that show up more, if there is a tie. The official sign up will be up tommorrow.
