maybe if nobody responds he will read the sticky......v-manage is meant for older honda's vtec management i believe....the only ecu for us is the pfc. period.

You are way off my friend...the v manage is like the camcon but 5x better. And if you have the e manage they work together and will get you close to owning a PFC

sorry i havnt kept up with their latest v-manage.... seems its on retail as of this summer
btw close to is not worth installing 2 controllers... but what ever, i like to keep it simple 1 pfc mounts in your old ecu's place rather than a buncha components...which ends up totaling to more than the price of a PFC ....
I could not find any info on wether it supports the 1zz considering it supports the 2zz i would expect it would. But for the price....and the lack of community support.....i dont think it would be wise to get it for a gt, or a gts

yes it is if you live in a place like I do where you need your obd 2 port for emissions. think before you speak, if you have a heavly modded car your stock ecu will throw cel codes. for some v and e manage is the best way to go

hmm ok, i stopped going to state inspection stations along time ago...i would suppose that everyone else that has a pfc has found a way around it, either a hook up...private inspection or just put your stock ecu back in then go to inspection after you clear the codes....
seriously though how modded can you get before they notice cuz if you got a turbo then i believe that any inspection station will fail you immediately....otherwise what is heavily modded: i/h/e + a new fw/clutch cuz if that is more like simple bolt-ons to me.
What ever works though ..right?

no one is going to risk there job over a hook up if you do your stupid. Yes you can take it out and swap in the stock ecu, but if you are FI or even plan on it and you live in a state like VA that is very strick it wont be that easy. And a turbo is not a failure unless it throws your emmission way out of margin

^^^ the above is true. I haven't read enough about the v-manage but I know that the guys (like myself) that have to have their obd-II checked for the smog test have to use the emanage ultimate/camcom combo to get the same results as the pfc because the pfc (while superior to the combo) is not obd-II compliant. Also, as for a turbo, most states won't fail you simply because you ahve a turbo hooked up......it has to do with the actual emissions........I know of a lot of kids that have the sr20 240's, supercharged mustangs, and corvettes, etc....that still pass smog and can thus drve their cars on the street even though they are FI.
I read the thing about the v-manage on the greddy website and it seems legit, plus, they seem to be the only company that can make a piggyback to work for our cars so maybe the v-manage will work for the vvti tuning as well

Yah. Although I got hookups to pass inspections if I get a PFC, they don't really check under the hood here in NY.

VA is very strict when it comes to emissions and yes they do use the obd 2 plug for it instead of the sniffer so you cannot modify the setting for the emissions for a car to pass. The emssions tester prints out every little thing about your car and shows if you have a default in your emssions system or not. We then have to take that print out and show it to DMV for proof. its not like the sniffer where you can modify the settings on the tester and the car will pass.
