ok, i'm seriously pissed off. two nights ago i started getting a weird buzzing noise coming from the engine bay at around 3000 rpm, so i checked it out and i found out my friggin' heatshield is cracking. i have a sri, and the heatshield is underneath it. by the way, the one on my car is the third generation heatshield. all previous gens also cracked. i'm pissed that i have to send it back and wait for a new one. i heard the fourth gen is ok, so i'll give injen one more chance. but for now i still encourage everybody to stay away from injen intakes. they just don't seem worth it right now. like a great man once said, "FINISH HIM."

That sucks Michael! I think I will hold off getting an intake then. between Cody's, Barry's, and your problems it doesn't sound worth it. The gain for the GT is small anyway.

No more mods for me, or at least performance mods, I was seriously considering the Injen until eveyone started having probs, I like my car just the way it is, any way I can still beat Civic's with a "Flawless Victory" anyway. and I think I will get my hands on the TYC tails pretty soon too.

no more injen products for me in the future. once my lanevo gets here, it's all really ugly mods for me. let's see, bronze oz's in 19's, giant "monstor" sticker on the hood, accordian shift boot, the list goes on. if cody can ramble on about wrx's, get ready for hella lanevo talk.

Not sure about that the Ltuned is supposed to have more power then the stock not sure how much more, but hey anyway I will be more comfortable.

L-tuned has an exhaust and air filter i belive. so you're paying $8000 for 10 hp and a kit you could get way cheaper on your own. but i will agree that it looks awesome. and, to let the trash talking carry on, my wrx will smoke your lanevo and is300 :). i can't wait...oh, i'll be paying under $40,000 for it too (unlike mitsubishi's gay selves who decided to make the lanevo the most overpriced car in a while and lexus who just charges too much for aftermarket stuff). but seriously, they are both sweet cars, i hope yall do get them so we can roll around in really fast cars now.

i still seriously doubt that the lanevo is gonna be close to 40k. if it is, i'm not getting it. and when i get it, the monstor sticker and the bronze wheels will blow away your neon headlights.;) oh, and i'll be faster too, i forgot that part.

i wont have neon healights, fool! but the monstor sticker would be freakin cool. oh, and you have it all wrong...i'll be faster with my vf22, 23, 24, or maybe even 30 that will be in my wrx :). (actually barry will probably be the fastest since he's going right for power when he gets the car).

i refuse to cave in and get a wrx, even if they are faster. besides, my lanevo will be cool enough. i'm still worried about mitsubishi quality too. ahhh crap, why can't honda make a 4wd turbo? this sucks.

that evo6 is awesome, i wish the new ones looked that good. and i'm really wondering about those prices, what they have listed is way too cheap. i'm guessing you have to pay shipping and all that crap on top of that (which could be a whole lot).

No wrx for me either. If I was going to get something else it would have to be rear wheel drive. I want to get a late 80's or early 90's 5.0 mustang at some point just to play around with. You can make the 5.0's fast as hell fairly cheap, and the car would be cheap too(probably because they are ugly as hell). If I some hoe make a bunch of money in the near future I might get the new Cobra. They are going to be sick!

well on the bright side of things i installed my revo short shifter today. it was pretty easy except for finding the right tools in my filthy garage. i had a weird clicking noise after i put it in, but i looked at it again and figured that a spring was rubbing up against some plastic, so a file quickly remedied the problem. the best part of this shortshifter is that i no longer have the ghey 1-2 gear notchiness that i've had since day one. woohoo!!! anyways, i'm rambling, so i'll stop now.

That's cool Michael. On a side note, I had an auto RSX pull up next to me, down shift and take off. I was like. Oooooh, that was impressive. We were in Friday evening traffic and he ran up on the ass of the car in front of him just to show off to me. Errr. whatever. It wasn't even an "S"...
