I have been searching the forum for what short shifters are available for the celica, and been very happy that this forum came up with good results. The best source of information I have found is the write up made by Speed4TheNeed with his short shifter guide.

Well I guess my question is best one for its price, I know from the write up that B&M and TWM have the shortest throws with TWM have a slight advantage. But they are both at least $100 more close to $150. The thing that gets me is that TWM has no companies the make replicas of their shifter like B&M does. The replica shifters that I find on the internet for B&M are the fidanza and the OBX which are also listed in the short shifter guide here on this site. The fidanza and OBX short shifters I have found on the internet are under $50. So this is a much cheaper price.
So my question is which one is better (probably a biased opinion). As said in the write up by Speed4TheNeed the Fidanza is lighter than the OBX short shifter. Does the weight of the shifter effect the quickness of the throws. Because as most members talk about on the forum a weighted shift knob makes for easier shifts with a short shifter. So since the fidanza and OBX are pretty much exactly the same besides their weight would it be better to have the heavier one (OBX) or the lighter one (Fidanza) for quicker throws?
Also I always see the Ralco RZ Short Shifter advertised on the site at the top of the page. How is this short shifter compared to the B&M, Fidanza, OBX, and TWM. Was it not in the write up by Speed4TheNeed because it wasn't in production yet? Or did I just not find it in my search, if that is the case sry for me not searching good enough.
Sry for having so many questions in one post.
Phew this took forever to type :faint:
I don't even want to think how long it took Spee4TheNeed to make up the short shifter write up.
