it just keeps on getting worse. I actually like the first gen with the SVT model.

The Euro Focus is actually pretty nice, for a base economy car. I wonder why they don't just sell the same thing here instead of what they've been offering.

I mean honestly, it's not like the Focus has ever really sold much. It definately wouldn't hurt to at least try the Euro focus, which is one of the best selling cars in Europe. Makes no sense.

The Euro Focus is so nice because its built on the Volvo S40/Mazda 3 platform

is the USDM Focus we're getting built on the same platform?

I love Ford, but I hate the US Focus.

classic example of why Ford is in the ****ter - they have no public image or brand identity beyond the Mustang

500, Taurus, it gets a bit confusing yes. I think Ford is a bit out of Focus (pun intended). I was in Thailand when I first saw the 2nd gen Focus, it had just been introduced there and it looked great. When I read a few reviews of it in Holland I liked it even more. I honestly can't see why the Euro Focus wouldn't do well in the States, but maybe Ford's beancounters know better.
