I been looking through several sites and stuff, and I don't know whats reliable and what isn't to find a celica through.
All the cars i've been finding (celica GTS 6 speed is what i want) are like 11-13k with 75k+ miles on them. This seems really high and i don't know if im not looking in the right place or if this is normal. From Toyota.com (my dad is more comfortable with buying one off a lot than at someone's house) there are none even remotely close to me. Do you think they have them on the lots and they just haven't put them up on the web or something, and maybe i should shop around the toyota dealers nearby?
I also saw a used Mazda 6 for 13.5k at a ford lot today (i think it was pretty low miles), was really nice, i don't know though lol.

Try autotrader.com or the classifieds in newcelica.
If you buy off a lot, of course, you're going to pay a premium. Do a reality check on Edmunds (www.edmunds.com) and check on the TrueMarketValue they provide.
Kelly BB is ridiculously high and I think exists so dealers can show you what a great deal you think you're getting.

thanks ill check on edmunds.. yeah i've looked through autotrader/craigslist and all the classified here and on another forum..
I'm starting to think i should just go with a GT. I need a car soon and i wanna be able to mod my car (in the future). Is it even worth it to mod a GT (probably just CAI and exhaust)?

if you are serious about buying a certain type of vehicle, you have to be willing to drive a ways for it. try doing a autotrader search with like a 200 mile radius and see what comes up. you can also try your local county car auctions. you're not gonna get a good price if you buy one off a lot, you're gonna have to look for a private sale. it took me almost a year to find mine at the price i wanted.

you could always have the toyota dealer ship, bring one in from another toyota dealership that has one.....
but go for the GT-S if buying the celica.....youll feel sorry later on with the worthless GT

Newspaper man. I bought mine out of the news paper and got mine for 7600. It has 80k miles and I talked here down from 9500. A lot of people in the news paper dont know much about cars. Also old people put their car in newspaper. Look around you will find one. It is all about negotiating!!!

watch autotrader.com and cars.com, i actually found mine on cars.com, about 90 miles away. I bought private sale to avoid paying the dealer premium. You can also watch ebay too but I'd suggest only looking at ones that you can go see in person before bidding (or get the guy to just end the auction).
Oh and know how much you should pay for the car. Mine was listed at $12,500, and I made him go down to $11,600 before I would even come look at it. At first he was strong and said no, but then his wife talked to me and said he'd come down that they had to get rid of it lol. My dad got him to drop another $100 for paying cash, so make sure you negotiate unless its a good deal already.
