Injen CAI Generation Question

I am purchasing a USED Injen Cold Air Intake (CAI) the seller believes that its a First or Second Generation (CAI) is there any generation that its better? or are tehy all the same? and is purchasing a used CAI thats good as good as a new CAI

As long as there are no holes on it - it's a good CAI.

I bought an AEM gen3 cai for $45 and it has minor defects: scratches and such. That doesn't hinder performance.
