First about the sensor.

On the gauge, it shows if door (driver's side) is opened or not.

but whenever i close the door, Dome light does not turn off unless i ARM w/ my aftermarket alarm system. I have a remote-start function available, but due to that door sensor (it's telling that door's opened..) i can't use it at all.

it seems like it's a bad ground or wire touching another wire during installation of an alarm system. I just don't know where to start and what to look for.

so could anybody give me a wire-diagram for the door and that leading to the body module??

Second question is about the power door lock on drivers side.

When i arm it, the knob would twitch, but doesn't fully lock/unlock.
Could i fix it my self? or do i need to buy a part for that.

if so, what is the part number??

Sorry about long-boring question. but i'm on a low budget hence the College Student with no job..... :bang:

Thanks guys.

Check the door ajar pin switch.... little rubber covered round thing on the lower right side of the door frame. Push it in & see if the dome light goes off. Might also be a problem w/the alarm.

Door lock actuator mechanism is expensive to OEM replace.... you could get by with using an aftermarket actuator as posted elsewhere in this forum.

well Dome light goes off when the Key is on ACC, when the Key is out, it doesn't detect ANYTHING.

I would Arm the car, and open the driver's side with a key. and Alarm doesn't even go off .

Sometimes it works (Barely, maybe once every 2 months or so..) but most of the time, it doesn't sense anything.

I don't think it's the Actuator because it shows when the door is opened, right on the gauge.

and what about the power door lock problem?

That was the actuator I was referring to.

The alarm likely doesn't go off beacuse it thinks the door is already open..... and bypasses it. Check the door's pin switch that I mentioned.

my actuator did the same thing, believe it or not you need to play with the position of the actuator rod. i sat in my garage for 30 minutes just repositioning the rod on the plastic clip of the handle until it could fully move it back and forth. VERY small adjustments is all thats needed to get it working properly, good luck.

Thanks. I'll try that when I'm installing speakers. :-)

so when yall say about adjusting the actuator..you are talking about the door lock not locking/unlocking all the way right? today i tested out a window lock thing in the center console, because im going to sell it, and now it wont lock/unlock the passenger door...it just twitches

when the alarm was installed, do u know if they diode isolated the driver and passenger doors from one another? alot of times when u dont diode isolate, u can cause domelight delay that your experiencing

anybody know my problem? found out it does unlock it but wont lock. my window lock worked before, but when i put this other one in it dont lock the passenger door, so then i put my original one back in and it does the same. wonder if i un hook the battery and back up it will work

i took it to the shop, and they said that one of my Alarm wires(door ajar wire) has been 'CUT??"

problem solved.
