I have a 2000 Black GT-S... just graduated from college and have about 1G to spend now.... so far the only mods I have are painted calipers, rear fill-in, black chrome altezzas, and tint. I would like to do more with the car, just unsure where to go from here... so I have a few questions for the members of the forum...
1) Where is the best place to get the clear bumper lenses?
2) Where can I get a bright red dome light (to keep with the black/red theme aka black widow)?
3) Which lights are the best to use for the high/low beam and fogs? PIAA, NOKYA? and which model numbers? I figure the owners have the best experience with this, so please help out?
4) Where can I get a c-one hoodscoop that will fit perfect?
5) What should I do with the remaining cash?
Finally, I heard that there are now bulbs that have clear casings but burn orange (therefore don't reflect orange within the light housing)... I am really interested in these but have only seen them for the audi's.
Thanks for your help.......

with 1G i would get an intake and exhaust and a twm ss or an lsd or just a WW bodykit (prepainted). Get apc clear corners, i got mine from streatbeatcustoms.com .
you can get the c-one style scoops from trd-gt. he's also selling them on ebay under the name thelostrican or something similar to that.

I would get a bodykit and springs with that cash you have.

I would take the money and put a few hundred to it and get wheels and tires. It would make you car look completely different and handle better too. Look through the gallery on the main page if you need some ideas!!! Good luck with you car and life after college.

I put an exhaust, cai, ss, etc. on already and i kinda wish i did the suspension and rims first cause she doesn't look right at stock height with mods. I bought it with a body kit though, to me that makes a huge difference! I don't like the way the stock celica looks. If i were you i'd get a nice body kit first, that makes a huge difference.

I'm not telling you what to do --- I WILL tell you what I did though. The first week I got my car --- I got a body kit --- I did my research --- found the budget I was looking for and installed it. My next step was wheels/tires/suspension. I did the body kit first because I knew I was going to have enough funds for the wheels and tires also. I didn't waste too much time -- 3 weeks for everything. I'd say --- If you are not getting some more cash within the next few months, then just get wheels and tires (maybe lower the car if you are into that) --- BUT if you feel that you can swing getting a kit and then shortly after getting wheels then try that route.
I'd say do your research before buying anything --- find the wheels and tires you want -- find the bodykit you want --- find the suspension setup you want --- price it all out (installed if you don't do it yourself)--- check your budget --- and go with what YOU think is the most important item. Peace

two combo's here.......
1. performance: intake, exhaust, short shifter
2. handling: wheels, tires, springs
knowing what you want... show, go, or show and go...
here's the thing... bodykits don't look good on cars at stock height with stock rims in the celica's case...
i think balance is key... have a lil' performance, then handling, then work on the show stuff... and try to get it all to flow evenly... thats the tricky part... clean, subtle, crazy, dark, bright, loud, classy, sporty...etc...and get all the parts to meet the before mentioned thing(s) that you aim for...

i don't think thats really true. i haven't lowered my car and i have gts rims and wings west kit and i think it looks really nice. i'll lower my car eventually but its not that noticeable really. only if you are looking for it. and gts rims look great.
oh and those bulbs that look silver and burn orange are called silver visions. you can get them here: http://www.autolamps-online.com/products/svcentre.htm
but you've got to get clear corners and an s2000 antenna. and get rid off all the amber bulbs. i'd recommend doing a bodykit if you can. the difference in looks of the car is night and day. if not, maybe intake exhaust and a cd player. indiglo gauges. short shifter if you have a manual, they are so much nicer than stock, TWM worth EVERY PENNY!

Thanks for all the help everyone... problem is I'm still undecided.
1) I know I want to get clear corner bumper lenses, but I need to know who to get them from so they don't leak.
2) I know I need rims and tires, as my current tires are almost bald. I'm looking at the Konig Imagine's, the Tenzo R Shu 10, Oz SuperLeggeras, and katana ducati.
I need to know how much the stock rim and tires weigh... as I would like to get a 17x7 rim/tire combo that weighs the same or less so I don't lose time on my 0-60... but I do still want the looks and a decent price (Yes I want to have my cake and eat it too ;) ) lol
3) Where do I find the bulbs that have clear housing but burn orange?? I know they make them for the Audi's, but what about the Celicas??
Thanks,
Dave

Ok, I have narrowed it down a little.....
The few rims I'm still entertaining are the ADR-75 (Demonya)... Black and silver, ADR-45 (Kasei), Shock wheel genetic "thrill", Katana Ducati or Ducati II, or the Konig Imagine......
All in 17x7.
Also, does anyone know how much the stock rim/tire combo weights, and how much will a 5lb increase on each tire affect the 0-60 time of the stock gt-s??
Once again, thanks for all of the help.

stock wheel/tire together weighs 38 lbs.
If I were in your position, I would just save up for a bigger mod like forced induction. Every one has wheels, kits, clear corners, antenna's, ect., but hardly any one has forced induction on their car, so you would really stand out with it. Keep saving, by the time the Blitz SC is realeased, you might have enough cash for it. Thats my opinion.
I think that 5lbs extra on each wheel would be noticable
