anybody know of(or like) those LED glowin' lights seen in some headlights...ya know, the kind that glow even when the headlight is off?

has anybody ever seen these? they look reaaaal sweet....seen them on a jetta however....headlights were off....but the housing was just glowing this really tight looking blue......

They're also known as "Demon Eyes". Angel Eyes comes from the fact that they look like halos. A buddy of mine has those in his 3 series Bimmer. I think they'd look fuggin' queer on any other vehicle, though.

I swapped out my park light bulbs for green ones, so my headlight casing is green if I just have the park lights on.

I'm not sure if its the samething. But from the looks of the auction item, it looks like something i have. Mine is a little plastic LED light thats blue. You can only see it at night, the LED lights up the casing. You can connect it, then stick it (adhesive) inside something like headlight, park, etc. Or what i did was just connect it to the battery so that i can turn it on and off whenever. It doesnt come with switches, cuz its meant to connect to the headlight or something like that, so i had to put one in. I use it as amber lights. I threw these LED in the reverse light, i use it to flash ppl, when i pass em up (or i would if i could). Whats also good is that, when you have it on its blue, but when you turn on your lights (for me the reverse) it takes over the blue, meaning you cant see the blue. I got it for like $15 and the switch was like couple bucks at pep boys and so was the wire to extend it.
I'm not sure if your talking about something like this, but i'm sure its close. If you want to see it i can get a pic of it. But its gotta be at night to see.

Its $300 for the kit which consists of clear serrated plastic rings and white LEDs that plug into the ends of them. Thats it. Plus you have to cut grooves in your factory headlight unit to get them to fit. Install is a real pain in the ass. My friend with the BMW ruined one of his Xenon's when we were cutting the groove. Dust and plastic particles got inside the xenon housing. That cost him $500 to replace. Damn German cars...

you guys that put in the blue LEDs, did you put them in where your DRLs go? i took out that little bulb and put in a blue LED but now when i drive at night i feel like im not getting light high enough anymore. like its nice and bright near the car but i cant see very far. i like how it looks but i gotta take them out cuz i really cant see. anyone else having this problem?

DRLs? your DRLs are your high beams... i went out and bought an LED that was size 194, and replaced the parking lights with them

I'll post picks if I can of my car with the lights changed. I got mine sent from Japan, they are show car LED's. When car is off they look clear and when car is turned on they look like a bright blue, they dont fade away.

I had the same bulbs, MidnightKraze, but they were white (at least that's what the company called them; too bluish for me). They weren't as bright as real bulbs, though. I have pics of mine somewhere...

I'll tell you something. That auction is wrong. 3.5 candella isn't that bright. That's something as bright as you see on those keychain. The ones I have are 10 candella, and those are the brightest right now. The thing is the brighter they want it to be, the larger the LED will have to be at a certain point. So with the standard I think T4 size LEDs, 10 candella is the brightest. I am experimenting with these new LEDs that are 100 candella. They have a heatsink, and look like a Logitech QuickCam lense apparatus. I will post pics when I have them installed sometime in the future.
