94 integra LS with 90k miles is only $6000, gts with 100k is $10800(all my money). would 5 grand in mods make the teg a better car for canyon runs, with some auto x and stoplight drag. yes the gts is faster, but i care more about the overall feel/driver involvement. mainly what i'm concerned about is the reliability of the gts over 100K. i don't have cash for costly repairs since i'm in college. also, are gts's easy to work on like tegs, and is there a theft problem with them...will have full coverage under parents, but still...and before someone asks, yes they are both stick. i know this is a celica site but please try to keep your answers objective, thanks!

what year is the GT-S? The 94 Integra LS with 90,000 miles is only worth around $5000 on KBB so I would pass on it for sure. If you want a teg get a nice GSR for around $8000. I would probably pass on the GT-S with that many miles for $10,800 also.

FYI I have owned a 98 GSR and currently have an 03 GT-S 6 speed. IMHO the GSR was a better car just because of the aftermarket support. The GT-S looks better and is more fun in stock form though.

gt-s is a 2000, integra price includes ttl, and a paint job. he's asking $4750 with ttl, gts is $1080 including ttl. to be realistic though, after paint and re-tint, it will be close to 7K. (300 for new brakes and cv axle, 1500 paint, 200 tint.

these are from used car dealerships? I would pick the Integra, I wouldn't settle for anything less than a GS-R. The only problem would be finding a good condition one. Everyone who seems to have an GS-R have abused it. GT-S would be nice if you can find one for a good deal, but I'd go with the Integ because of better handling (double wish bone on all 4 corners), however, you'll look like every other car out on the track and street.

Just as a reference, I paid $9100 for my '00 GT-S with 58K on the clock. As far as I know the GT-S doesn't have the theft issues, which ironically is a positive consequence of not having the same aftermarket support as the Teg.

If you look around you might find a decent ITR. I am not sure of the price - here we've seen good ones for about $15k Canadian, so I'd imagine that you'll be looking at $11-13k US. The other alternative is to find a good low-end model with decent mods and drop an ITR engine into it.

How is car theft in Houston? Search for a current list of the top 20 cars stolen.

Nationwide, the Integra ranked about 8 times in a car theft statistic taken a few years ago.

If you think you won't be another statistic, try your best to find a GS-R or even a Type-R - it'll be worth it.

About a couple weeks ago I was thinking about getting rid of my GT-S with 90k on it and when I went into my old work, a Toyota dealership, to get an idea on what to ask for it they said whole sale price was about $6,500, they could get around $7,500 at the auction, and if they sold a car like that on their lot they would start around $9,000... Obviously every dealership varies but I hope this gives you a ballpark on what prices you should be looking for. with that amount of milage. Also with that said, I wouldn't pay more than 9 for a GTS with that many miles.

Both Teg and Celica GTS are good cars. I think you can find a better deal on the GTS because over 100K for $10K, not a good choice. I've seen some for about $7-$9 with about 60-80K miles. The GTS is a really fun car stock and also with suspension upgrades. Braking is awesome. Like everyone say the Teg will be better for aftermarket performance parts. If you decide to get a Teg do go less then a GSR
