Hey guys
If I put a 1zz-fe from an 04 Vibe in my 00 GT, what modifications (if any) would be required? And what would I need to carry over from my old engine? I've seen other posts on this but none that address the Vibe specifically.
Thanks
Jim

Please... next time use the search button. This is the 2nd time or so this has been covered this week.
A 1ZZ-FE is a 1ZZ-FE no matter what the donor car is. There will be no modifications necessary and everything will carry over should you need it.
The only thing that is necessary to mod when transferring over from a Vibe or Matrix is the transmission. Other than that, the engine is a direct swap.

You might have to drill and tap some holes for the axle bracket. That is what my mechanic had to do when installing a 2003 1zz-fe from a corolla.

Thanks guys. I've searched through the forums and found very little addressing the Vibe engine specifically. I've heard different things ranging from the engines are 100% identical, to holes must be drilled, to pipes must be reshaped. Just wanted to clear it up.

I'm pretty sure too.

If my memory doesn't fail me, an engine out of the Matrix/Vibe will already have the drill, since they have the axle carrier, so it's a straight drop into the Celica.
