i got my car back yesterday after my misshift. everything was fine except it idled really hard...the whole car was shaking. i took it in today and they called and said they are putting a new ecu in. so, i think im gonna sell it. anyone know how much i should sell a 2000 gts 6 speed with 14000 miles for? keep in mind it has been misshifted, but fixed. thanks.

Doesn't sound like it has been fixed. I would trade it in.

new engine ?or just a "fixed" engine?

If I bought it , unknowingly and found out later on that it was misshifted... I'd be hangin out with a lot of lawyers.

KBB.com says about $21,000 retail value with standard equipment. I am sure you could sell it for $18,000 or so.

that right there explains a very good reason to think twice before getting the rex.

Well that would be like saying don't buy a Toyota because they don't cover all misshifts. There isn't anything wrong with the other 17,050 WRXs out there but because of a few you are trying to make a blanket statement???? Just because a few people are having trouble does not mean that you are going to. Because a lot of people on here misshifted, does that mean u are going to?? Each person is different. If there was that many problems with the tranny SOA would be forced to recall them. Read all the reviews and then with your mind open make your own decision. There are people out there with the stock tranny putting over 390 hp out. That is a "glass" tranny???? There are always exceptions to the rule.

f-22 nope not trying to make a blanket statement at all, i whole heartdly agree just cause a few are having problems doesn't mean all of them will. I personally would still look into getting the REX i just would wait a little longer to see how this whole situation goes with SOA. The whole thing definatly needs more looking into though. I am dissapointed in SOA for the way they are treating this situation. Every car has those few that don't work as well as they are supposed too, it's just SOA's service that is dissapointing me.
