I am a Little mad. This last weekend I see a Matrix with the VVTLI and six speed at the track and guess what it came from the dealer with a LSD. TOYOTA SUCKS THEY SELL A FREAKIN MINNY VAN OR WHAT EVER WITH A LSD AND I AM LEFT TO FIND AND GET INSTALLED A LSD FOR ONE OF THEIR SPORTS CARS. Sorry just venting but if people dont already know you do now. oh and bone stock with a not so good driver it can run 10.3 in the 1/8. I think that is faster than alot of the GT's

I don't think the matrix has an LSD stock from the factory... I've never ever heard of this.

look i talked to the guy and watched him do his burn outs. smoke rolled from both tires every time and it was only the 2wd. i know it does not make sense but that is what i saw. and when i talked to him and asked if he knew he had a lsd he said yes it came with it. the next race is not until july5 if he goes i will get a video of his burn out.

The would have had to add one or have the dealer install it before he bought it. 10.3 in the 1/8 is pretty bad...

you can ask two questions here:

is it possible? yes
is it probable? hell no!

well all i know is that i know what i saw and and know what happens when i do my burn out there and i only get one on my burn out. like i said i dont know how but he said it came with it. just passin on what i saw. oh and as for the time he ran it was a good time for the parking lot races. the fastes gt time that i know of is like 10.8 or .9 and fastest gts time is 9.6 (thats mine with a weak clutch) i know whats coming next is its the driver but this is not about that its about this one matrix with a lsd. if you care to test your car pull the e-brake rev and dump the clutch and have some one watch the front and you will know which tires will spin. Oh and those times may not be the fastest but if you are in san diego area come try. go to www.racelegal.com for more info. it would be nice to see some more celi's

Now I know why you have a weak clutch...

On the right surface with the right tires and a high RPM clutch drop I have seen my GTS leave 15-20 feet of parallel patches.

It can be done, it isn't even that hard, and, no I don't have an LSD.

maybe if the dealer had a bunch of extra old TRD LSDs lying around they used them to sell more matrix(s) by adding them in as options or something....

next time you see him, tell him to check out MatrixVibe.net or this site ;)

actually the weak clutch came from the drag radials and high launches. But thanks for your input. and i have seen cars with no LSD leave two marks but not every time. and he did at least 7 burn outs. i am going to leave this alone now just wanted to put out what i saw and what i was told.

The helical limited-slip diffs are just that: limited-slip devices. As limiting the differential torque applications to the front wheels. The test described will not adequately test a torque-sensing differential. A tight corner, slippery pavement and lots of run-off room will test the differential dynamically. But that isn't needed either.
