Has anyone adjusted their TRD spoiler? I haven't touched mine... worried I'll scratch something haha.

I don't see the point in adjusting it either. I'd probably have it flip up so it actually lifts the back, should give the front more traction. But I doubt it could mine seems to wiggle down the highway.

If anyone did adjust theirs... pics?

I know how to adjust it, but I never did.

I bet most people don't even know how to.

IMHO, it would look ugly if you moved it from its original location.

Plus, Celicas are not exactly sports cars, so I doubt any adjustment would translate into noticeable performance differences.

don't flip it up.. at high speeds you want as much traction at the rear as you want at the front. if you're worried about downforce up front, get a front splitter.

I think I'm going to check mine out and see what it looks/handles like in each setting.

dont drive too fast. no traction in the rear = accident waiting to happen.

Sounds good.. I guess I won't touch it.

Yeah I don't think it will affect handling and/or performance at all. And I agree with LightningRod that it would probably look weird if it was moved.

If you do want to move it, I'm pretty sure that you just take off the endcaps, then take out the bolts (1 on each side) near the rear, and move it up or down, then put the bolts back in whatever spot you want.

Finally adjusted mine to the lower setting. It kinda feels like its getting too much downforce and holding me back. I will be switching it back before I drive it again, that's for sure! :thumbdown
Also when you put in the lower setting it leaves a gap where you can see the bolt hole for where it had been previously held in the stock location. Looks tacky IMO.

 are you guys serious??? u think the little tiny TRD wing provides any noticeable down force at highway speeds? even with a bigger wing you have to be doing in excess of 120mph before you even feel a slight difference in the driver's seat. and besides who really does and maneuvering at 100+ to take advantage of that slight increase in downforce? my opinion save all the fine adjustments for F1 and Indy were it really matters. ;)

I felt a difference at 80+mph. It just made me feel slower. I don't even know why toyota made it adjustable if it doesn't really give improvement?!?

Question why Toyota even made an adjustable spoiler like that for the Celica. The OEM-lowrise and Kaminari CF OEM-style spoilers are just fine.

I would love to switch out my TRD wing for a Kaminari style wing when I get enough moolah. I think it makes the TRD body kit look a little more aggressive.

There are two version of Kaminari spoilers, one like the OEM stock spoiler and the other like the TRD spoiler, with an adjustable blade (just like the RMM spoiler). Even that won't help much with downforce for the rear, or not as much as you think.

Switching out the TRD for the Kaminari would just be for looks. I'm not really concerned with how much downforce it provides. I just adjusted the TRD wing to see what it does.

anyone looking to get rid of their trd wing in absolute red?
