toyota recently released a concept mr2 at the Essen Motor Show that featured a "throughly turbo-blasted 1.8-liter VVTL-I dohc four" Toyota claimes it has 255 hp...maybe they figured out a way to t/c the vvtl-i without disengaging lift...that would be great....anyway, i read about this in the new import tuner...didnt have any engine specs besides the hp....thought it was pretty interesting though

i wonder who they outsourced it to? TRD is much more keen on using Superchargers in their cars...

since it was an autoshow, did it have pics of the engine? Half of the cars at autoshows, concepts especially have nothing under the hood. Just a body

yes, it did have a very small pic of the engine. i could definetly see turbo piping but pic was too small to really see what was going on

they can do lots of weird things while prototyping... they're pretty much unrestricted in how much they can play around with it to make it work for a show or a small ride.
