Nascar is irrelevant. With all of the regulations, toyota winning really doesn't mean much more than chevy, ford, or dodge winning. Now, when the manufacturers really have some sort of way to put their own finesse into a car, like in JGTC, then you see who's got the skills to produce.

^Don't believe everything you hear, officially they have the second biggest budget behind Ferrari. And man do they get whooped in F1 LOL, but then F1 is much more technical than NASCAR, with way more variables.

Chevy is known for their engines in Nascar, from what i've gathered from the crew at work. Hendrix and the chevy-supported companies are putting together the better cars out there... Although, a few wins for toyota means piqued interest and encouragement.
