Get a big old bar that you can stick in there to get some leverage to push the lower control arm down. You do not need to remove it. Yes air tools make this job much easyer, and be sure to douse all those rusty bolts in WD-40 or PB blaster 10-15 mins before you try to break them loose.

That's exactly how we installed my Skunk2 springs. Don't be afraid to push down on the control arm.

yeah me and a friend did my auto tech teachers nsx and he actually stood on the control arm to press down and i pulled up and everything came out....sometimes you just have to play around with it.

I did use a 2x4 to pry down the control arm. I also had the swaybar endlinks disconnected. I don't know if it helps or hurts leaving them hooked up. Also swing the shock eye forward or aft the control arm before trying to lower the shock/spring assembly. I wasn't able to get it to go straight down.

I have the same issue. I just bought new bolts because after torching, torquing, pb blasting, and exhausting myself, im taking a sawsall to it =)

i found the spring compressor to come in handy compresses the springs down so u can move the top and slide it out. to get it out cause it sounds like ur trying to drop it out.

to get it back in they are correct u will need some one to push the control arm.

Remember to turn the bolt, not the nut.

Undo these three bolts on the forward end of the A-arm and it will literally fall out.
