View Full Version : Got my car back with new tranny but...

..something is wrong with my steering wheel. its not properly aligned, when the steering is aligned with the dash, the car goes left. is this something thats easy to be fixed?

they f*cked up your alignement when they pulled the tranny... i'd take it back to them.. they're probably gonna force you to pay the 64.99 for an alignment but that should take care of it.

if that doesnt take care of it then you can get your money back for the alignment cause its something else (steering column or the linkage maybe)

If I'm not mistaken, the service manual says to do an alignment after a transmission removal/installation. If the transmission was changed under warranty, you might be able to make the case that they should have performed all the steps in the service manual as part of the work. In other words, they should do an alignment for free. :)

is there an online version that states this alignment? so that i have proof?

if it says it in the service manual you dont need proof.. if they get all sticky on you tell them to get a service manual.. .they have plenty.
