Fourth Gear popping out

Alright so I just installed the B&M Short Shifter a couple days ago and I was driving tonight and was pushing it a little, not too much. I am driving in fourth doing about 50-55 and all the sudden the shifter pops into neutral. I am not sure what was wrong I thought maybe I tapped it, i dont know I wasnt pay much attention to it. So I start going again and it does it again, so now I know either I did something wrong and didnt get something installed right or something with my transmission is failing on me. Any Suggestions?

Check the shift lever and see if it's hitting anything when in 4th. It can pop out if the gear isn't fully engaged. If not, the teeth on 4th may be damaged.

I have the same problem in 6th gear.I thought it was the synchro and was going to replace the transmission.Is there maybey any other cause.I also have a bnm short shifter

It doesnt seem to be doing it anymore after driving around in it for a couple days now, hopefully it was just a little loose from installing it, I went in and double checked everything, tightened it up a little more, just to make sure

All I know is I hate how fourth gear is in our cars. It is the only gear that I still grind sometimes when downshifting from fifth gear.
