Well, it's not for my Celica. It's for my Integra but can someone help me anyway.

I picked up a alpine cdm 7854 and installed it for my 94 Integra. I notice though after playing it that whenever I switch to Radio, the power antenna goes up. But when I switch back to CD, the power antenna goes down. This is really annoying because switching from CD to radio is something that is done a lot of times everyday by everyone. I never had this problem on any decks I used before.

Did I installed it wrong or what happen here? (I used a sorche harness and kit from goodguys for the install) It has never happen before on the other decks I used. It's really annoying whenever I switch from radio to CD. It goes up, then down according to what I am using. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I also notice that the alpine deck's harness had a blue/white wire which the harness I bought for easy installed did not have. Is this wire necessary? The deck plays fine but just the antenna problem is annoying the **** out of me.

That is actually normal. If it isn't in use the power antenna is supposed to go down. there is a wire on the back of the Head unit labled power antenna. This sends a singnal to your power antenna motor to go up. You can check the wattage being put out by the remote lead (used to tell your amp when to turn on) and run that for your power antenna. Then it would be up whenever the radio is on. Provided wattage is similar.

The power antenna wire is blue if I remember correctly.

Anyway, how do I make the antenna stay up when the radio is on? What is the steps to do this? What is the remote lead?

well its SUPPOSED to do that. but yeah if you want to try another way use the sub out, a blue wire to tell the antenna to be on whenever the head unit is on. like deftech said. but you may want to use a voltmeter to make sure the voltages are the same. if they aren't, you can use a relay.

sorry to bring this back from the dead, so my antenna is always up no matter what, cd, radio, whatever, so in order to fix so that it stays down with cd and goes up for radio, how does it get wired?

understood, i've connected the power wire, since that antenna always goes up, is there also a signal wire so that it would know when to stay down for cd and up for radio?

nvm the wire that controls the power antenna and signal is 1 wire, there is no dual wire to seperately control it.

Yes. That it goes down when in CD is a function of the HU.

Connect the blue/white from the headunit to the solid blue on the adapter harness
