If you want to remove the door you can, but you don't need to. Removing the door allows you to apply more pressure for a longer time on the door insert.

If you don't want to remove the door then skip to step 2.

1. Remove the screws where indicated. There is also ONE screw on the back that holds the handle and the lock mechanism in place with the door. Remove this one screw and your in business. For the driver side door, remove the plug that connects the power mirrors in.

2. Take a key or flat head screwdriver and pull a corner of the cloth out and pull the rest out leaving the foam still intact (most of it). This will help reduce vibration.

3. Apply urethane (that came in the package - I think - if not get it at the hardware store) and make sure you pay close attention to the corners. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T MARK ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF THE FOAM OR ELSE IT WILL BE HARD TO CLEAN UP. THIS STUFF IS EXTREMELY HARD TO REMOVE!
Put the carbon fiber door insert in place carefully.

4. Apply pressure to the door insert for at least 20 minutes or until it can support itself and leave it untouched for at least 2 hours. I used a towel and bubble wrap to cover the door insert then placed a bag of rice and peas (I think) on top to add constant pressure and left it there for 3 hours.

5. Install back the way you opened everything. Screw everything in place and you're done!

Good job. I stripped it down to the plastic and the cf insert didnt fit snug. I guess I should've left some padding.

This is a report I got from another site... since people were selling those panels I was always curious how to install them, because it doesn't look easy to just pop off. I wanted to bring it over here so that it can be stored as a sticky in the aftermarket install section.
