..scraping sound whenever i hit a bump. sounds like the tire is scraping off the wheel well or fender, even when i take turns it scrapes. anyone have the same problem? i was told to roll the fender, is that possible in our cars?

You'd have to provide more information. How low do you set your GCs? What size are the wheels (17x7, 17x7.5, 17x8)? What offset are the wheels?
Rolling the fender is possible on any car with metal fenders.

its 17x7 +29mm offset. i forgot how many threads, but up front theres no gap, as well as the back, im tuckin a little bit of tire.

do the tires stick outside of the fender at all? the only thing I can think is maybe your struts are worn and causing excessive travel over bumps and stuff, causing the fender to drop down over the wheel and rub it. I've seen it on cars with real bad suspensions and wheels with the wrong offsets. Maybe this is your problem?

how would i find out if my struts are worn out? that would mean i need new shocks and everything?
oh and no, they dont stick outta the fender

If you go over a speedbump and the car oscillates for a while the shocks are worn out.

maybe I should re word my question. If you were able to push down on the car hard enough to bring the fender down to the tire's level, is there any part of the tire and fender that can touch each other? the wheels might not stick out past the fender, but they might stick out just enough to catch the edge of one of the fenders. with an offset like that i'm surprised they dont stick out a little more than stock.oh ya, since you have gc's why not raise it up a few clicks and see if that helps?

when i push down on the car, its not touching fender at all. it scrapes on the inside well, so the tires are butterfly'ed. i think to correct this i have to get camber links?
oh and i like how the car looks at its current hieght, i really dont want to raise it.

if you dont want to raise it up go back to the shop that installed the tires and complain that their rubbing.
you should of got 215 40's

215/40's are more prone to wheel dmg, so i hear...
think i need rear camber links ?

not if you get some good tires with strong reinforcement and that's designed to disperse energy... i.e. Toyo Proxes T1-S... i've got 215/40-17 with no troubles with damage at all... you got two decisions here:
1. get diff tire size
2. raise the damn car up... unless you're tuck'n dubs, it's not really worth the tuck... give your car a 1/2"-1" gap... how bad could it possibly be???

Do you think it might have to do anything with the offset of the rim? 29mm offset is a little off from the normal 36-42mm offset that i've seen everyone else has. The camber links should work if that's the case then.

i jsut checked the wheel well, and it looks like its rubbing directly on top. i need to either raise it or get new shocks for a stiffer ride.
