Either get a vinly overlay, there are a few sellers on here, DanteGTS.....and Blue Batmobile , that sell them
Or you can buy a can of VHT Niteshades and spray it on yourself.

I think GTS makes/made them at one time.

There is a company that makes black covers for head lights because I had some on my altima. I think the company name was GTO... oddly enough.

I am pretty sure that they make black covers for tail lights also for some applications, I am not for sure they make them for the Celica though.

I feel your pain my car came and still has the riced chrome altezzas it had when I bought it from the used car lot. I am looking at getting some stock tails and putting overlays on them or buying these tail lights from TYC.

Here is how my tail lights are at the moment.

I hate these freaking tail lights and cannot wait to get rid of them, but thats not going to happen till I work up some funds after this semester of classes is over.

I don't really want stock tails that much unless I am definatly going to tint them... which is really what I want to do honestly. But you have the 02 tails which I have already found some of those in my area and will the orange part on the bottom of the tail light show through the tint. Because thats the one thing I do not like about those tails are the gigantic orange blinkers at the bottom of the light.
I think the TYC red ones look better personally... but that would be another 150 dollars on top of the cost of the overlays. :(

I used 5 coats of VHT niteshades, and a few coats of clear. You can still see them light up in direct sunlight.
What did you use drewd?
(BTW, I dig the black up top paint scheme :chuckles: )

Easiest way to get tinted tails is to buy a vinyl overlay. DanteGTS as well as BlueBatmobile sell them and both are recommended sellers imo. You can also use VHT NiteShades, but there is the possibility of them looking bad later on, through orange peel or whatever. Imo, there aren't any tasteful dark looking aftermarket taillights out. The TYC blacks aren't bad, but I think it would look better if you just tinted your stockers. I personally have never seen taillight covers for the Celica.
And also, depending on where you live, you may want to consider the legality aspect. I got pulled over for tinted headlights, taillights, sidemarkers, and windows.
