i think i'm gonna start doing my own changes... any response on this product would be great.. thanks.
I don't think they make one for the Celica. It would make my life easier if I had one installed.

I was thinking on getting this for my Celi, I went to some local auto shop and I asked them if they have this but they ran out. Hopefully they will have some on stock by Monday, that's the time I'm gonna have my oil changed

Looks cool. I guess it just screws in to your drain plug and remains there then you just shove the hose on and rock n' roll? Hmmm.

OK, the part number for both 1ZZ and 2ZZ engines is SD3. It costs around $15.

i wass told by someone who used it that it drains real slow and that if any sludge or metal shavings are in the engine may not come out with it.

Yeah, it would make sense that it drains slowly. Now instead of having a 1/2" hole for oil to race out of you have a 1/4" valve.
I think it's still worth a try. i'm gunna try to find one online somewhere. God only knows no place in Pella will have em.

I have them on my car, I just bought it last Thursday and it's really easy to install. It's $16.48 including tax, and they gave me a free oil filter with it.

It just doesn't look like it will save much time. I already have to drive the car up on ramps to take off the under tray. The oil filter makes a bigger mess than removing the drain plug, so it isn't a big deal to do the drain plug part.
Maybe if you didn't need to be under the car for other things, but that isn't the case. I can buy a little pump that will suck the oil out of the dipstick hole. That is cool, but I still ahve to get dirty changing the filter.
Looks like the old fashioned way is the best way in this case.

I worked in a garage and from time to time we would cut the filter in half to inspect for metal or other contamints, mostly when we would do an overhaul. I'm not trying to flame Fram or affend anybody who is partial to fram, but from my personal expierence, the fram filter seems to be made alot cheaper. I use wix and they have more and better filtering pleats inside them inside. Plus i have seen plenty of them collapse. I don't know, just my thought's.

Found em at Walmart tonight. I opened the package up and I can't see how the thing can flow oil at all. the opening itself is no wider than 1/8" and then it has to flow around the valve inside.
I'm gunna steer clear of this one. And as autoxr said, you still have to get that messy ass filter off.
