Brake job how to.

Will be doing the back brakes (pads and rotors) soon and want to do it myself. I went into the install guides section of the forum and looked at the front brake sticky. Well it is totally screwed up. The pics must have got mixed up with something else because half of them don't match the descriptions of what is happening. Left me totally confused.

That would be great if I could find them.

I think there is problem though with that sticky I linked for doing the front breaks. The pictures in the thread seem to be mixed up from another thread because there are many pics that have nothing to do with the thread. For example there is a heading about what the removed caliper looks like and the pic has nothing to do with it. There are pics of fenders and hoods and it's screwed up.

Well I have spent several hours over a couple days now searching this forum for a guide/tutorial/ manual or whatever you want to call it on how to replace the rear pads and rotors on a 2003 GTS. Other than the useless sticky I linked in my first post there is nothing. You would think a forum specifically for Celicas would have something like that EASILY visible considering how common this task is. I could have changed my breaks 3 times over in the time I have waisted searching for this info. It's absolutely ridiculous. It's not like I'm not making the effort. Where is this info?

tech info is always at the top of the screen with the home, forum, installs, sponsors , etc....tabs

pretty sure the back on a gt-s would be much like the front. maybe dont make your searches so descriptive. put "gt-s rear brakes" and see what you get.

Well thank you that is great! How did you find it? Where is it located on this forum. I click the link and it downloads a huge PDF manual but I would like to know how to find this stuff for future reference. I tried many searches and I did not see that. What search term did you use?

Right below the NC.org banner there is a navigation.....it lists home, forum, gallery, parts catalog, TECH INFO, installs, store, other and sponsors. just left click on a TECH INFO and u'll have it. U'll see the shop manual vol1. and vol2.

OK now I see the Tech Info Link at the top. This is the link I had bookmarked for this site http://www.newcelica.org/forums/index.php?

As you can see the links at the top of the page for Tech Info and the others is not present. Thats why I couldn't find it.
