I would like to do the S2000 antenna conversion.. cant find a log with pics.. anyone can helo me out?

Also what do you do to the roof since you taking off the antenna do you have to patch up the hole? or spray it?

Before someone gets on and snaps at you I'll do this for you. Try the appearance mod section and search for s2000.

You don't need to do anything to the roof. The stock antenna actually screws off. The s2000 antenna will screw right in as well. Some will say there's is difference in length of the threads but I got a 2003+ antenna on my 2000 and i didn't have any difficulty screwing it on.

Wait so you've got a roof-mount antenna and want to go USDM and get an s2000 antenna and convert to a right-rear quarter panel mount?

That's a first, but I guess that is to be expected; in the States some want the JDM roof-mount antenna.

Just go to the Gallery and search for s2000 antenna.

yeah i think mine is diff since its a jap import, i even have the Europe digital climate Control.. No wonder i couldnt find any info on the s2000 conversion

Lucky. So far, I don't think anyone has done the conversion. I assume it would be as easy as doing the USDM to JDM mount conversion, just shorten the wires, drill in the mount, fill in the old mount.

That should be a given. :chuckles:

However, I don't know if you have a Home Depot/Lowes department store in Malta, but they have these plug covers, ranging in several sizes, depending on the size of the hole of the roof mount, you may be able to just paint the plug cover and cover up the hole.

I've seen one that's about an inch an diameter. It may be possible to cover up the USDM antenna mount, but I have no idea of the size that the JDM/EUDM antenna mount uses.

i think thats the only other alternative, however i cant see my roof with one of those plug covers, if anything ill spray but i think its not worth the mod will come to expensive
