autometer sells some for thier bulbs, you can probably make those work. We have some, just havent tried them yet. I put Blue LED's in mine instead.

I used those autometer ones in mine. The problem is that they are 3-4 times bigger than the bulb and it's not easy to get them to work.

I tried using the blue ones, and with the cutting, rubber banding, and everything else that I tried to get them to work (as Lamar said, they are WAAAAYYYY too big) I gave up and went the route of Tronix. I think going the route of putting leaded led's in there is the way to go, but, you'll see what we mean once you get the covers in.

When these come in,
PLEASE post how they worked. It looks too easy to be done. My old stereo (sanyo) had these. It was easy to change the color.

Personall I hated wiring up some more stuff to my fuses so I checked and I am not sure how bright they are all in because my firend helping me lost the other light base but I found a light that you can jerry rig to get it to work. Radio Shack Part no 272-335 you can hook the wires up to the base and hook the base in and they will light. You can get 4 diff colors and they looked brighter than the originals. They are a little big so they wont fit inside the base but they will work. Just don't have any friends holding the little grey base. He dropped mine in the center console and then we think it slid under the carpet. So there is another solution. You can buy the string neon at Wal-Mart for 17$ or at the Flea market for 10$ and wrap that around the white cutouts on the back of the controls. These come in different colors and are just about as bright as the LED leads Hammer was talking about. They look good as well. Plus you can deal with Wal-Mart instead of Ebay and shipping. Here is a pic, BTW props to Hammer for doing the LEDs for me. This is before I finished so it is a lot brighter now but just an idea of it working. The pics don't really do this mod any justice..

Hello, just wondering about those that use LEDs for their a/c control. Could someone take a picture of how they wire them or how it look like, the set up and all. I tried LEDing mine with 2 5mm LEDs and they shines only in two places. Thanks in advace.

They come in black light, purple, green. blue, and red. If you want white just take the condoms off the stock ones...

Hmm...no way, I still have my stock bulb and I put two leds in place of those bulbs. If I could, I'll try to put some picture up. The white leds looks so...nich, but just really limited in areas.

i think it was a camry...i just took off the bulb from my car and walked into the parts department. They went to the back and came out with a bag of replacement bulbs, and i think they said it was a camry...forgot now though. Toyota should have this part though.
