Now before anybody rags on me, I have tried searching here but haven't found anything. Also give it a chance before ragging on me for this.
I'm just looking for guides or info on how to mold your own CF parts, Now I know the basics there are two ways to do it, one is to use an Autoclave and bake your parts to make them VERY strong but I'm just thinking about interior parts which do not need to be baked and the other is to make a mold and then use a vacuum bag.. I also understand that I can either wrap the parts completely or if I want to save them I can create a mold then use the mold as a guide to making the parts. Now I can see that some people may say its a waste of time and resources if you're just doing it for yourself and that, YES I do understand. Some people will say my molds will not come out right and will look bad yes I understand that is a possibility. But this is not just some fly by night idea I came up with. And yes I understand that there have probably been handfuls of people asking the same thing so I apologize if I had overlooked their threads while searching. I have been wanting to do this for a while, I understand the time, effort and money that will need to go into this but I haven't found any extensive info on ways to do this, I have only found articles and bits of info relating to using an autoclave to bake CF parts or forum posts of people getting flamed for wanting to do this. Everybody has to start somewhere so I'm hoping people on here would be willing to help if they can.
So I'm just asking does anybody have any information that I might find useful when it comes to molding your own CF parts or where to start. Also note I am not trying to encroach on Kenny, topshop or any of the other CF vendors on this forum.
