Are you looking at a signal booster or simply an amplified antenna?
In my experience these things seem to enhance EVERYTHING (including the static).

DaJoker is correct.
If you`re not getting a clean signal, it wont help.

A stock, factory, Celica antenna may provide the desired reception.

For FM, the length of the antenna doesn't matter.

It may be that the Toyota RF engineers fulfilled their responsibilities in designing the radio / antenna system and that the acceptable radio reception performance that I enjoy, with my stock antenna, is not an anomaly.
It may be worthwhile to compare the radio reception with the factory antenna versus the S2000 antenna on the "problem" station / area to determine if any differences exist.

That antenna is def part of the problem but i dont want to put the stock antenna back on, id rather live with it, but i also rather get a piece that increased reception rather than put the stock one back on.
