Well i have been looking through this forum for like the past month ever since i got my new car... 2000 gt-s 6spd black 73k miles. Got it for 8.5k and i love it.
Umm.. i don't know very much about car maintenance since im very young.. 17 years old to be exact just learned a few basic stuff like air filter/water cooler/oil change and what not. I guess i just wanted to introduce myself to the forum?

lift bolts are for, well, our whole lift feature on the GT-S....the older bolts were weak and have had a record for breaking, which then is a REAL pain to take off and replace...since you're at a 00' gt-s like mine, i suggest you replace yours out...they're not that expensive...like 60 cents a piece, hit up your nearest dealer

oh yeah and welcome to the forum yo

thanks umm... i have seen the install guide for the lift bolts.. and.. for a guy my age it looks kinda scary. Im afraid of like.. breaking something. Also, i tried to see if my lift engages and.. its kinda hard to tell.. should it be VERY obvious?
should my engine become much louder and should i feel an obvious push? im just not sure... i guess i'll drive a little more to find out.

if you don't feel like you can do an install, then i suggest you do not, seek help from someone in your area who feels he's more confident to do the job...you don't wanna fvck around with the engine if you don't think you're up to it

your lift should start to "engage" at around 6200 rpm i believe...and it should be somewhat obvious, your engine will sound like it's screaming, but in a good way lol. experience and reviews will tell you that 1st gear is the hardest to tell lift in, because you hit redline so quickly, and that second gear is the most optimal to see if you're hitting it or not...just look at your RPM meter if you can afford to, while hitting it around 6000 rpm, even the needle seems to look like it rockets up the powerband after hitting 6200
