Did you guys need to get a camber kit for the 2in drop?

I'm installing Hotchkis springs on tuesday. From what I've read on here you do not need a camber kit for up to 2". You may need crash bolts for the front which you can get from the dealer. If anyone else has any feedback I would appreciate it too before I install mine.

I took my car to an alignment shop, after I dropped my car. Well after they settled in right.

I've seen the inside edge of a tire worn down from too much camber. The celica was dropped w/ Tanabe 2" springs. Basically it's either the camber kit or new rear tires.

Ok, what if i went with the Hotchkis 35mm (1 3/8") front and 48mm (1 7/8") rear springs? Then would i need camber correction? would that get rid of the majority of wheel gap with my stock 16in gts rims?

listen bro, --- get the springs you want --- take the lowered vehicle to a good alignment shop after you install the springs. Get the camber adjusted --- DONT let them tell you that there is no rear camber adjustment --- cause there IS. If they can't get it to spec --- then you'll need camber links or a kit of some sort.
Just plan ahead for camber links --- If you don't need em --- you have some extra cash --- If you do need em --- Hey you still have extra cash --- Why? Because three months down the line you will have to get some new rubber if your camber is bad. Do it right the first time --- save the money for the whole setup --- and save yourself some headaches too. Peace.

I'm putting mine Hotchkis springs on tonight so I'll let you know how it turns out. I'll probably take it to the allignment shop later this week and see what they say. I'm doing just the springs and I don't have a camber kit yet.

No need for camber links in the rear with the Tanabe drop. Nor is there a real need for crash bolts in the front. My uncle owns an alignment shop and they've done the alignment on my car with both H&R and Tanabe Super Down springs. Neither occasion called for anything other than tweaking of factory adjustments.

If you want to take as much camber as possible out of the rear, then go for the links, otherwise you CAN get it to fall within the factory specified range. Remember, you're going to want a little more than a degree of negative camber in the rear anyway.

I have had the Eibach Stoprlines for a few months now... I havent noticed any major ware and tare from my tires... Like everyone said after the springs are installed get a wheel alingment... I dont have any camber link or crash bolts but I do plan on getting them when I have more $$$$$ to put into my ride... You should be just fine with the drop...

Ok got the Hotchkis springs on last night. The camber doesn't look far off so far. I am going to get an allignment in the next couple days, but it doesn't sound like I'll need any camber links or anything.
