I've got two 10's in the back in a box; see the picture:

How are you guys securing it in the trunk? Drilling holes and bolting it on with some scrap metal? The box doesn't move much in casual driving due to it's heavy weight but anything more aggressive such as hard cornering will slide the box around. And i've heard most insurance companies won't cover stolen/damaged subs if there's no indication they were secured to the car.

Thanks

I have two 12s in my trunk as well, and they're held in place with good ol' velcro. I have about 4 strips of velcro that stick to the bed of the trunk just fine. My subs have never moved.

Bolt them to the floor or to the rear brace under the cargo container thing back there. ;)

thats exactly how i have mine (only 2 12"'s). just one long bungee cord hooked on the 2 carseat (?) tie downs. works perfect and unlike velco or bolting it, you can remove it and never know it was there.

hmmm maybe I should secure mine. They are just sitting in my trunk but they are in a massiv box with plexiglass covering over part of it so they are heavy enough to stay in place. They double as a poor mans lowering spring.

i have mine firing up with 2 4" drywalls mounting the box to the frame from inside the box.
then i put the sub back in the box. super secure and neat.

you can go to home depot and get a roll of plumbers tape ( i think thats what its called ) its basically a roll of the same type of metal as the " back straps " that would come new with a radio. cut it into 2-4 pieces and bend them into an L bracket, two screws in the back of the box, two in the floor on each strap and it wont go anywhere

Same here. I have 2 10s. I have the box sitting on the cargo tray, with a bungee cord attached to the hooks to keep it from sliding.
