Do you guys notice that the response time between pressing the gas pedal to rev and the resulting release of exhaust is very loose and slow, and basically sounds like ****? Is there any way that something could be adjusted in the computer to increase that timing a degree or two?

maybe tighten your throttle cable??? its not exactly a turbo spooling so it should be relatively quick.

increase your timing 1 degree.

A lighter flywheel should let the revs climb quicker.

we dont have a distributor, so the only way to adjust the timing is with a piggyback ecu(ours isn't really replacable, can't really "chip" it).

speaking of, if anyone is interested in such a product for the GT i do have one that i have to sell because i need money to fix my car(friend misshifted it, yes it's a 5spd not a 6spd).

Good question...........not only how do you physically do it but also how does it effect off idle throttle response....

do you guys understand what I'm saying? I don't think it's just a thing with my car but the celi in general when you rev the car, the exhaust response and even engine sound is so mushy and loose...a guy I know that has a vette and the LS1 edit program to mess around with his ECU says that there should be something you could do to just turn it up a degree or whatever...what does this mean though and is it possible with our cars?

I guess I don't understand what your problem is, if I rev the car the response is immediate, have no idea what you mean by mushy or loose??? Have less of a clue in knowing what you mean by turning it up a degree to change it.

yes, i posted the exact answer eariler... it is possible, with an edit program for your car(ie a tunable piggyback ecu). turning it up a degree i assume would be adjusting the timing a degree.... but the only problem is that there are no more than 5 known tunable piggybacks in the US that have been made so far. If you have a GT i have one that is avalable.

but how do you really adjust the vvti a degree? it's variable?
is there like a idle preset range or something?
