Ok I have been looking at headlights and think i have decided on the Philips X-treme Power for my low beams, however i was wondering what should i get for my high beams and fog lights? From my understanding the High Beams are also the daytime running lights so want to get a nice set for them also. Would you suggest i get Philips X-treme Power for the Fogs and Highs also? or go with something else? Please advise this newb on setting his headlights up.
This is what i was thinking, please tell me what you think?
Low Beams.....Philips X-treme Power
High Beams....Philips CrystalVision Ultra
Fogs....Philips CrystalVision Ultra

if you're still lookin for an HID kit, i HIGHLY recommend getting EuroFx (EF) off of their eBay store. VERY good product. 'bout $180 for low, high, or fog light packages. but, the one thing that is VERY good 'bout this company is that it really IS a plug and play. took me 20 minutes to install each kit. that's it. they have lots of patents on new technology and the lights are AMAZING. try 'em out.

Yeah I'd go with the vendors on this site also. I've got the 8000K kit from ModExpress, but there are several others that sell also. Just shop around the vendors and look for the best deal. They are all easy to deal with also, and they are all plug and play as well. Easy install.

Aren't HID's illegal though because they don't focus the light like cars with stock HID's?
If you don't want HID's, I have PIAA Xtreme White Plus bulbs for my sidemarkers and DRLs and they're nice. They give out a nice bright, white with a slight bluish tint color. I'm gonna get these for the rest of my bulbs when I get some more money. I've only had them in for about 2 months though, so I can't say how long they last.

Philips bulbs =

Exactly. For a good HID kit, expect to pay at least $400-500. Add at least $200 more if you want to use the proper projectors for them.

I had this same question. I went to the local Autozone, and they gave me the rundown. Im actually trying to decide if i want to go with the Philips or the Silverstars. Which would be better?

The Sylvania Silverstars are readily available in auto parts stores but fairly expensive. You can find them cheap off eBay though. Some people have complained of short life with Silverstars, I have them in my fogs and low beams and I like them a lot.
Philips bulbs are great too with more color variations and long-life.

I like the PIAA Xtreme White Plus H7. Aside from the GTX Plasma Blue PIAA bulbs, they're the brightest and highest energy you can buy without going HID. Bright white light with slight bluish tint. Expensive, though, but I like them alot
