Corolla Xrs Tranny Into A Celica Gts!! Damnn!!!

hey i got a corolla xrs tranny and it looks like it's backwards.

the gear selector thing is in the back for the corolla and it's in the front for the celica.

i want to know if i can just change the entire input and output shafts so that it's basically swapping transmissions. ???????
