DRL bulbs

the other day i tried to take my DRL buld out and get hyperwhite ones but the the bulb is like soldiered on to the housing. for all who have done this where can i get the bulb and do you just un soldier it to get it out?

The housing comes off with the bulb. They are one piece. The large plastic base unplugs from the rest of the wire.

BTW, when you install your new bulbs, DO NOT touch the glass part. The oil from your fingers will eventually cause the bulb to expand and explode. :eek:

Whoa Whoa Whoa.....DRL bulb??? Your DRLs are just your high beams running at a lower current. Unless something has changed since 00-01

The bulb and its housing come off as one piece. The glass part isn't separate, and cannot be removed by itself.

EDIT: Wow I just looked that chart over and most of them aren't listed. The high beam is 9005. :)

It's also know as HB3.
