Hey, all. I just moved to Lake Forest and am currently dealing the pain in the ass process of getting my vehicles registered... They told me I need a smog check on my Celica, and when I went to get it done today, they told me they can't do it because I have a CAI installed. Has anybody else had to deal with this? What should I do? I'm probably going to just install the stock one and take it back, but if there's another way, I'd like to hear it.

that is common. i know some shops wont even touch a car if they see headers on it, they say they fail the visual inspection. just do it with stock parts.

just goto sum vietnamese or chinese or korean smog check place slip them a lil extra.. they'll hook u up.. best place to check close to LAke FOrest is GArden GRove. in Orange COunty..ur prob like 20- 30 min away.

What about a RMM intake? Will they fail too?

like the others have said, go to someone who will pass you. i dont think the CAIs are even carb legal and have no clue about the short rams.

You can go to pretty much any place in Garden Grove or Cerritos and get by. Just a little bribe will do. BTW I thought the AEM CAI was CARB approved?

From previously having some nice American v8 power that was not so stock ;) I know how much a pain Emissions can be..even worse if you work on a military base as I do but as you can see here there is always a way around things, haha

JUST GO TO ANY ASIAN PLACE AND BRIBE! or My friend said come to his shop and he will do it for you at no extra cost......... If you are interested in going to my boy's then PM me so I can give you a directions...
