backseats.

how do i take my backseats out? it just seems to be extra weight because nobody sits there. is it fairly easy to take out out , and also put them back?

I heard that the back seats are easy to take out and only require the removal of a couple of bolts. Use the search function for this forum and you should find a better answer.

Did it a couple of months ago.

1. Pop the rear backrests down.
2. Look for the 2 bolts (black) for each back rest located at the bottom edges behind the backrest, hidden behind the material you move to uncover them.
3. Use a sockect wrench to remove them. (total of 4 bolts for backrests altogether)
4. Take out the backrests then just pull/lift the rear seat in a upwards direction and it will come off. Its only held in by two clips under it.

In total it took me only 5 minutes to do. Very easy to do and put back if you need to for any reason.

How much weight can you actually lose by removing the seats? Is it worth it? Does it look really nasty without em? Any pics?

I saw a guy at a meet without the back seats and it didn't look that bad. As for the loss in weight, I have no clue.

GTS leather seats:
each rear back was 8-9lbs
the bottom was 5-6lbs
est total was 25lbs, give or take.

also: spare tire = 25lbs
