If you're putting a system with subs in, any interior will rattle. Just do a decent job of soundproofing and it should eliminate most rattles. The worst rattle on a celica is the handle for the hatch.

Basic rattles and squeeks, like any other car. Specific problem area is the hatch handle (above the plate where it says "CELICA"). Do a full sound damping and it will get rid of the road induced sounds leaving only those that you generate.

lots o dynamat
My thinking was the rest of the trunk was vibrating so that was rattling the handle, soo I dynamatted the hell outta the rest of the trunk, i'm talking inside the rear fencers, spare tire well, most of the upper hatch part around the glass and handle (under all the plastic) and the bottom part of the trunk between the tail lights. and since they no longer transfer vibrations to the handle, it dont rattle anymore :)

RAMMAt is about half the price of dynamat and I've heard its pretty good. Does anyone know the email address of the guy that sells it?

Rick McCallum at raam@raamaudio.com is the last place I contacted him.

His original raammat is about 1/3 the price of dynamat and performs just as well. I hear that he has a new product out that is even better at a slightly higher cost.

If you guys search for my posts on raammat or dynamat you'll find some pics of my install. If not I'll direct you to the photo album, but it won't have descriptions.

Try ebay for Dynamat. I wouldn't buy anything expensive off of there, but I just got 36 sq. ft of extreme dynamat for $60. Cruthfield sells it for $230! And its enough to take care of everything that rattles in my car.

yeah, my rattle comes from the hatch. i was bored one day and removed the plastic cover on the hatch so you can see all the wires and the plastic hatch and shut my self in the trunk while my roomate played some bass, and man does that black plastic hatch rattle bad. i think i just might spray some dynamat in there.

you can try the TSB forum and TSB thread... as theres a TSB on fixing celica specific rattles... after that you'll want to move on into dynamat .. bme has done it and i'm sure it helps a lot ... but it is extra weight!! sigh

damn 60 is a fantastic price!!
i paid 95 + 25 shipping = 120USD which i still find a great price for 36 sq ft of extreme
im from montreal, canada
over here, 24 sq ft of trunk kit (which is only partly extreme) costs about 120USD

Another squeaking in my Celica is the wiring loom behind the dash storage bin. The wires aren't tightly wrapped and they sqeak every so often. My plan for the winter is a full dash teardown and re-wrapping all the wires and insulating the firewall. The rest of the car is also insulated. It's dead quiet, with minimal weight. Dynamat (or an equivilant) is used sparingly.
