I have a question about HIDs. I was installing them the other day and i accidentally snapped the brown stick that covers the metal beam, or the arc thing. the metal wire itself is fine tho..will this cause any long term problems or is this just an insulator or what? thanks.

i think you're talking about the brown thing that goes on the metal thing that runs outside the bulb.
mine are in 2 pieces on each bulb, and they've worked no prob

Yea celicaRUSS, im talkin about that brown sand paper lookin like stuff that coats the metal wire that runs outside of the bulb. ive been usisng it. and it seems fine, BUT im scared it might blow later, cuz i used sealant and lots a duct tape to keep that stupid loosy goosy bulb in.
