I Got Owned Today....

To my defense, I didn't know we were racing until he took off like a bat outta hell. So I'm sitting at a light on a four lane road today and there is a new Chevy 1500 sitting next to me. Light turns green and vrooom, he takes off. I get on it hard in first but he's already a length and a half ahead of me. So I ran hard until about 100 and he stayed right there at 1 1/2 in front of me. He kept looking up in his rearview to see where I was. I let off cause I wasn't gaining and he wasn't pulling. He slowed down to my speed which was about 65 and gave me a thumbs up. I guess he was a little impressed that I kept up. Oh well, cant win em' all. :)

A Silverado? Nooooooooo.... I don't know my Chevy's but I guess thats what your talking about. Are they that fast? I don't really have room to make fun of you because my last loss was to a Neon. Before you make fun of me, it wasn't stock and he was only a half car length ahead of me from 70 or so to 115 or so.

Yes, I lost to a truck. I think that the new ones have a 5.3 in them with 280hp. So, not bad considering the 100hp difference.

My friends dad has a Tahoe that is suprisingly quick. I want to talk to that guy with the neon again. He said we was getting a turbo next month. That is going to be sick. Its probably the best looking neon I've seen(least ugly), and it was quick too. He said it was just intake and exhaust, but I'm not convinced.

I think I'd have to stick with the RSX if I was you. They are getting all kinds of performance parts now unlike another certain car.

yeah. but the neon is still a fun car, if you're into fugly four doors *cough cough*. i'll definitely stick with the akira rsx for now, but i certainly wouldn't mind a faster car, even if it has to be a wrx. i better not be forced into buying one.

The only neon I've driven was for this drunk driving simulator that came to our highschool. It was fun. You did one lap of this little course normally then they switched on this thing that made all your reactions delayed. They had people that would pop up in front of you and stuff. Most of us just floored it the whole time and ran over the people anyway. Then after school we took our cars out on the little course like a mini auto cross.

damn that sounds cool. wish high school was like that for me. a drunk driving simulator for at-home use would be sweet too! i bet i could market that. "for every beer you drink, your chances increase 50% that you will run over cardboard cut-outs that are shaped like people."

Ok, I'll jumo into this. Last month I got straight up smoked by a Dodge Durango V8 R/T. I could almost live with it except it outweighs me by three times and it was being driven by a soccer mom that gave me the finger through her rear-view when it was over. Oh Jesus....I'm going to go find a razor!

haha that's funny I ran with a Durango not sure that it was a V8 though I smoked it the guy seemed pretty pissed I think I mostly beat it because he couldn't handle the turns we where going like 80 down the south loop that has a nice curve on it that can be taken at high speeds you just have to have the balls to do it. I'm sure Jamie knows which curve I am talking about.

In your defense though he got a good jump on you and there are a ot of cars/trcks out there that could do the same thing with that much of a lead....

yes. my dad decided to take a step down on the car stuff because he recently became a grandfather, so i guess he wanted a four door that was cheap. he had a cobra before that. what a weird guy. anyways, i believe in a year or two he may change cars and get a cool one again. i'm hoping it'll be a lanevo.
