The PIAA Extreme Whites are the closest to HID, they look really nice. But they are expensive!

Ion Yellows are pure yellow, almost exactly like the Lexus IS300 fogs. Very good for enhancing visibility.

I believe the Plasma FX bulbs are pure blue.

There is PIAA section.. it doesn't seems to have H3 in ION Yellow..
And it doesn't have H7 for Extreme white.....

I put the H3 Super Plasmas (~$65) in my fogs after being fed up with the cheap bulbs that still come out a bit yellow, and I was blown away. Pure white with a purplish rim around it.
The only bad news is now nothing but H7 Plasma Fx's will match the fogs....which i haven't found for less than $90. Super Plasmas don't come in H7, but the Plasma FX bulbs apparently have the same 5000K light in the H7's.

Try here (http://www.autoseattle.com/piaa1.htm) for the Ion H3's. And yes, they are pure yellow. No white, blue, purple, etc. colors mixed in. Also, they are sold as individual bulbs, so you need to buy two.

My bought the PIAA H7 and it blew out in like couple months....
It seem they don't last that long either..

So I just go with cheap.. one..
I had them for liek 3-4 months and still going..
I rather replace them again and again cheap...

PIAA is just plain too expensive...

Yeah $100 for some damn light bulbs hell I thought $30 or $40 was expensive, but $100+ thats plain ridiculous!! It a conspiracy you know they make those bulbs for about $5 and a lotof the Piaa bulbs are made by the same people that make the APC and Hiper bulbs!!! Plus for $100 I would just save my money wait a few weeks save again until I had $300 or $350 and buy some HID's screw some damn $100 bulbs that are going to blow out in a few months!!

anyone with a pic with a replaced white bulb fog light at night?

Any bulbs you put in the fogs won't appear pure white. The fog light lenses have a built in yellow filter to make the light more useful. The yellower the light is, the easier it cuts through fog, rain, and snow. The whiter the light is, the more it reflects them back at you.

does anyone have pics of the Xtreme White H3 installed. I'm curious to see how they look.

I did some research for the plasma fx bulbs some time ago and they look great from outside but they don't light up the road very well. I also know that you might melt some plastics of your lights because of high wattage.

It's best to go with Yellow on H3 fog lamp..
I've tried white on H3.... it blew out so fast...
But it's still doesn't look white as the H7....
I've put same brand and same type of light output but.. still looks off white on H3....

Install them and see if they work. If so, there's a chance your bulbs got shorted out. Same thing happened to both of mine about a year ago.

hmmm, so there's no aftermarket bulbs that will last longer than a few months, huh? screwit, then. I'm putting the stock ones back in then. I don't feel like replacing my fog bulbs every 2 months. that's just annoying.

Just an update... one of these burnt out yesterday. Not bad after a year, but I don't think anything could come close to replacing them so here goes another $65... :(

Any bulbs you put in the fogs won't appear pure white.

Check out a ride with these bulbs in it Bomber, it definitely surpassed the yellow tint.

I bought Plasma FX in H7(not US legal) two year ago.

They looked awesome (closest to HID)(it illuminated objects)and were brite! I paid boocoo money(over $100) and lasted 3mths, tops.

I went to hyper(okay bulbs) and they still are fine.

Even my PIIA superwhite (for my brites) burnt out this summer.

I would do IONs in H3(Fogs), and HID conversion, if you can afford.

Really, the celica has excellent lighting for a stock car!

I just wanted my car to be different.

I've had the PIAA X-treme white h7's in my low beams for almost exactly a year now and one finally blew out yesterday :( No more PIAA for me. I'll pick up some cheap bulbs for now and then start saving for HID's. They did look nice considering the stock wattage though.
