would unplugging side air bags effect whole air bag sys.?

i'm sick of my leather seats. they get too hot in the summer and my gf aways complains that they burn her ass. so i was considering of trading them for some cloth ones. but i have one problem i have side air bags. if i was to disconnect them would it affect my front air bags???

LOL! Sorry dude. If you unplug them it may trip the Airbag light. It happened on my friend's Camry when he replaced his steering wheel.

Unpluging the side bags will disable the entire system, as it will trip the sensor making the ECU believe they are all disengaged... Go talk to a local dealer and ask them for assistance.
