View Full Version : APC Euro Clear Corners - Quality is CRAP!

I installed my APC euros over the winter while it was being stored so I didn't know how bad they are made.
My left one fogged up when it rained so I returned it for another one. Low and behold that new one had the same seal problem. Now when I go wash my car it fogs up again.
I tried using silicone for glass and it worked a bit so it doesn't fog up as much but it's still crap in my opinion. If I knew they were made like this I would have bought the knock-offs.
Anyone else have this problem? I'm sure someone else does because the whole lot at the store was defective. Any ideas on where I can complain to APC?

Happens to me, too. I was wondering if silicone would work.
I tried complaining to APC about my CF Altezzas and never got a response.

I have the clear ones, and never did I have a problem with it, and probably will not seeing that I have had them for over a year now. Also, unfortunately low companies like OBX, Arospeed, APC... will never respond to any complaints or questions.

I got the knockoffs and they still leaked.. Oh well. I let the one that leaked air dry, and then I put silicone on the seal. Hasn't leaked again yet.

I have had zero trouble with my APC rears or corners. i ahve heard that people that buy the ones without DOT/SAE registration numbers complain about quality, however.

I haven't had any seal problems with both of my APC lights. They are fine. No leaks whatsoever. My sides are just fine and so is my rear CF tails. They are okay quality if you ask me. I only paid $200 for both so I guess it isn't too bad for the money. Now, my indiglos burnt out like in two days so I had to getta new face, that was my only problem with APC.

My APC clear corners fog up too, but that just matched the fogging of my headlamp!!!
Luckily toyota has replaced both of my headlamps under warranty!

I think my pictures can show you my opinion on the quality of APC products. The one outer lens fell off driving down the road last week.

Scotty, those gaps are huge. I'm glad I never got any Altezza's.
I have the knockoffs from procarparts.com and I haven't had any problems.

Actually those aren't gaps those are just the outer lens falling off of the tail light. In the last couple of pics you can see the the outer lens has fallen completely off. Luckily the shop is sending me a replacement set at the moment. I plan to silicone them very VERY well and should have no problems with fogging or any damage next time around.

Nows a pefect opportunity to paint over that nasty fake carbon fiber crap...it would look nice the same color as your car. You could reattach the outter lens easily...

i replaced my headlight/turn/parking lights... and my left headlight seems foggy.. can toyota use the fact that i changed the bulbs as a way to void my warranty.. for new headlight... cause well my bumper to bumper 36k is about up....
