Okay, so I go for an oil change today at Jiffy Lube.Of course get the synthetic and everything...This is my first oil change since I got the Celica and I didnt have time to do it myself so I took it there. Anyways, Ive heard the horros stories about the under car plastics coming loose. So I specifically tell them, make SURE the car cover is put back on right so it doesnt fall off. They say okay, as Im leaving I ask, was the cover put on okay? They say 'yes, but...the cover was broken before it was brought in' only to point it out that they had noted this on my reciept. I put on my rear sway bar yesterday, havent even messed with the front under car at all, and it was FINE yesterday. SO I see this on the reciept and think, oh well, maybe I got some road damage, but it's never fallen before, why should it now, so I take off.
Later that night Im driving up and my girlfriend notices a weird scraping sound. I know immediately what it is...the plastic is halfway on and scraping the ground. I had assumed they put it back on, but now I know one thing, never assume, always check for yourself.
Anyways, now to the point, what to do??? I can either A.) Call Jiffy lube and talk to them about it, but I think that may be futile because they may try and screw me with the notation that it was alreday broken. Which it *could* have been, but it has never fallen until now. So try and get something out of them, a repair, new plastics etc...or...B.) Try and see if my 36,000 mile warranty will cover it. Anyone know?
So what do you guys think I should do? Sorry so long.
